If you favour push-bikes over petrol-powered conveyances, then you need this app to keep your cycle road-worthy.
Bike Repair Review
by on September 3, 2010
If you are one of the increasing number of commuters that are opting for the humble push-bike to get you to and from work, then the new Bike Repair app for iPhone will ensure that your trusty steed is ready and roadworthy.
Bike Repair is a very good ‘does what it says on the tin’ app, providing really easy-to-follow step-by-step guides to the most common bicycle issues and idiot-proof instructions to get you back on the road asap when something goes awry. So if your chain slips off or you should need to change a tyre while out and about, there is no longer any need to panic (or to pay a local cycle dealer a small fortune to fix a basic problem).
The developer, Atomic Software, claims that you will need no special tools (beyond a basic bike kit) for any of the repairs shown in the app, which features over 90 high quality studio photographs to help to show and explain what it is you need to do to fix your problem.
We’ve tested it out and can confirm that most of the problem-fixes the app demonstrates are almost as simple as the instructions included in a flat-pack coffee table from IKEA. If you cycle, this is £1.19 well spent.
