This latest iPhone photo-manipulation app is by far the grossest yet. And yet still the funniest.
Making your friend into a fatter version of themselves and then sharing the resulting hilarious picture with all your other mates on Facebook or Twitter is incredibly childish. It is also side-splittingly funny and a hell of a lot of fun.
Hence FatBooth has quickly become one of the most popular photo-manipulation apps for iPhone. If nothing else, making pictures of what you and your family and friends would look like if you were five or ten stone heavier is a welcome snub to the modern obsession with dieting and working out. It is also like a phone-based version of those TV shows that scare you into eating less by showing you what you might look like if you don’t lay off the burgers!
Making your friends fatter couldn’t be easier. You just select a photo of them, preferably one with a jutting chin-line, and the app does the rest, adding on a few pounds and a double chin (or two).
“Yummy, yummy!” says the bouncing burger on the screen as the app does its magic. And then a few seconds later you will be laughing and forwarding your fat-friend pictures on to everybody they have ever known.
