Another Japanese gem that lets you create fantastic comic avatars of you and your mates in no time at all.

If you are a fan of creating cartoonish ‘Mii’ characters on your Nintendo Wii, then Facemakr will immediately appeal. It is a Japanese-created app from those clever people at Dadako Studios that lets you create cartoon characters that, should you so wish, represent what you imagine you and your loved ones to look like. Should they be cartoon characters!
The genius in Facemakr is that is uses a vector-based graphics engine to let you customise your cartoon faces to the n-th degree, so you can trim those eyelashes and crop that mouth until you really do have the cartoon man or lady that you have in your head up on your iPhone’s screen. And there are hundreds of face parts and literally millions of combinations to choose from.
It is massively satisfying, particularly if you are in the habit of spending a lot of time customising and creating your own characters in your favourite videogames. Once you’ve created a face you are happy with then you can upload it to your social networking site of choice or choose to email it immediately to your friend (victim) directly.
