Cyborg Vision Review
by on April 6, 2012
Have you ever wanted to be the Terminator, wandering around and having information about people appear next to them as you look at them, and hunting people down like dogs? Wait, no, not that last part. But the first part would be good, eh?
Cyborg Vision aims to replicate the parts of /The Terminator/ where you can see through Arnie’s eyes, complete with red tint and mildly threatening ’80s font, by hooking into your Facebook account and using facial recognition to identify your friends and pull through their information.
The key difference is that the Terminator’s data was (probably) accurate, whereas this app struggles massively. In fact, it failed to correctly identify a single person we tried it on, other than the person whose account it was.
Some people will no doubt have more luck than us, but the typical experience seems to be severely lacking. Even if it worked, it would only be a novelty – but without the novelty, it’s just a waste of 69p.
