Not quite a mobile version of our favourite web browser, but it'll do for now
Firefox Home Review
by on September 10, 2010
Mozilla’s Firefox Home application is a must-get productivity app for the iPhone, as it gives you access to all of the browsing history, bookmarks and open tabs that you are using on your laptop or desktop Mac or PC, but on your phone.
It sounds very simple, mainly because it is, but if you switch between your main computer and your iPhone regularly when completing work tasks, it quickly becomes something that you find you cannot live without.
In addition to running Firefox Home on your iPhone you will also need to install Firefox Sync on your desktop. As soon as you have, the main benefit that you will immediately find on using your iPhone is the fact that you will start to type those boring long URLs much quicker, as the Firefox Awesome Bar will already know the www addresses of all of your favourite and most important sites.
While we all wait patiently for Mozilla’s own mobile version of Firefox, this rather cool productivity app is a superb way of opening all your favourite websites and currently-opened tabs in the iPhone’s own Safari browser.
