4The same compelling gameplay, but with plenty of innovations and new levels to make it worth a second visit
Edge Extended Review

Developer Mobigames has probably done itself a disservice in calling this EDGE release ‘Extended’, since that name – to us at least – suggests that it’s simply an enhanced version of their original block-rolling platformer. Given that this features 44 entirely new levels, enhanced visuals and several new gameplay features, it’s a proper sequel, so you can think of this as EDGE 2. With luck, fans of the original will realise this, because if you liked the first game this is an essential purchase.
The aim of each level is to roll your cube to the exit, picking up gems along the way and taking the most efficient route in order to score as high a grade as possible. Complex routes, collapsing platforms, moving blocks and similar obstacles hamper your progress, but this time there are additional elements that come into play.
There’s a ghost cube that enables you to see your previous attempt as you play and improve your game accordingly, and you can hang from the sides of blocks to get EDGE Time and get a better grade. Cleverly, much use has been made of optical illusions, meaning that some mazes are not always as they appear. There’s plenty to enjoy for existing EDGE fans and newcomers alike.

Ragdoll Blaster 3
The iOS equivalent of a plain cheese sandwich: does the job, but it won't linger in the memory afterwards.

The interface feels a bit out of place on iOS, but it’s a fun app, and produces interesting results.
Puzzlejuice
Absurdly challenging, sometimes brutal, but frequently brilliant (especially on the iPad); just be aware of what you’re letting yourself in for. (Sob.)
