One of the true competitors to Angry Birds’ title of addictive app supreme, Cut the Rope, like its rival, is a well thought-out construction of a simple gaming format.
A puzzle game that will consume hour after hour of your life, Cut the Rope sees users tasked with that very challenge, cutting ropes to transport a piece of brightly-hued yet delicate candy from the starting point to the impatient gob of the adorable little green sweet-eating monster, Om Nom.
Moving between boxes of levels, users start in the relatively simple cardboard box with more difficult levels following in the fabric, foil and gift boxes. Once again like its Angry Birds counterpart, Cut the Rope gamers will be kept hooked hours after unlocking all the levels by the chance to achieve three gold stars for each level, a task seemingly the holy grail of addictive gaming.
With new levels being frequently added to coincide with latest holidays and global events, the latest addition saw the inclusion of a Valentine’s themed box with the usual pink paraphernalia, Cut the Rope will see users return to the app time and time again be it for a time killing commute passer or and at home relaxing gaming experience.
