Maxim Handstand Edition Review
by Chris Smith on June 27, 2010
Why not have a little iCandy for your iPad? The Maxim handstand edition brings the best features from the best-selling men’s mag to your tablet. And, at £1.79 it may be one of the absolute best bargains on the entire App Store.
The premium content from Maxim magazine is downloaded to the application each month and it’s jam-packed full of features, interviews and of course those wondrous image galleries.
June’s inaugural iPad issue is particularly satisfying featuring a cover shoot featuring Victoria’s Secret model Senita Banks, and the Hot 100, which, as you’d imagine is slightly different to T3’s Hot 100 countdown.
There’s a Ridley Scott interview and an awesome feature entitled “16 animals we wish were extinct”. What more could you ask for content that keeps coming and coming for less than £2.00.
As well as fully multi-touch enabled written content and galleries, there’s also a selection of video content each month, which for June included a cover shoot and an exclusive-for-iPad shoot with one of the magazine’s featured girls.
This is a great new way to digest one of the most famous names in men’s lifestyle and we’re already looking forward to downloading next month’s content.
