Based on the classic 1960s cartoon version of Charles Schultz’s iconic characters, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and co.’s adventures in the pumpkin patch have been turned into a sublime interactive iPad book that really captures the look and feel of this timeless original.

From the beautiful textured artwork to the soundtrack from original narrator Peter Robbins, each page is brimming with charm and detail. Behaving like a pop up book, the characters leap onto the page and then animate across it to tell the story of Linus and his search for the Great Pumpkin. There are also several hidden games within the story, including pumpkin carving and piano playing with Schroeder. You can also create your own avatar and Halloween costume to become part of Lucy’s Halloween Party.

Although it might lack a bit of depth for older kids, the loving attention to detail and beautiful sounds and textures that fill the app make it a real treat, especially for those with an attachment to the original.
