Turn your BlackBerry into a fully-fledged GPS tracker with this nifty little app
RoadRunner GPS Review
by on April 20, 2010
The RoadRunner GPS application is one of the best things you can get on your BlackBerry.
Using the power of GPS and the phone’s mapping software, it will tell you how fast you’re running/walking/cycling, where you’re doing it and how well.
You’re asked to enter basic information such as height and weight, which gives you your BMI and calorie allowance for the day (great when paired with Calorie Tracker).
You can customise the application to within an inch of its life too – ask for alerts when you reach time and distance markers and see graphs of your progress, which can also be added to Facebook.
If you listen to another application for music when running, it can interfere with the alerts, which is a little annoying – but for a shade over £3 this is an app that gives other dedicated running tools a… well, run for their money.
