timr – Time and Milege Tracker
Keep track of project working time with this handy client
timr – Time and Milege Tracker Review
by on April 7, 2011
This timr app is best combined with the web service at timr.com, which is designed to be a simple, low-hassle way of tracking how much time you spend working without resorting to timesheets. It can also track your mileage and how much time you spend driving.
It’s a great tool for those who need to keep an eye on expenses or hourly rates when combined with mobile clients, such as this one for BlackBerry (it’s also on iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile).
The app is brilliantly simple, simply offering the opportunity to start tracking your working time, the project time or your driving. You can then see how long you’ve been going on these on the screen.
When you stop them, you’ll be presented with a couple of extra options, such as to add in how much break time you took. The information is then uploaded to the timr servers. It was all totally seamless for us. No delays or confusion necessary.
This app is very much a client app at the moment; you can’t see the reports of what’s been recorded in the app, but this feature is coming in the future. We don’t mind that it isn’t present even now, though. It’s a useful, free app for a simple and effective web service.
