Need to change flights or hotel quickly at the drop of a hat?

Kayak is a long-standing travel company that’s branched out into providing mobile applications to help travellers find their way to new destinations at the drop of a hat.
When you’re out in South Africa, it’s likely you’ll have to travel all over the country at a moment’s notice thanks to a game being won (or lost) and your team being sent to a new stadium.
That’s where Kayak comes in: even at the airport you can check which flights are available, when they go and crucially, how much of a premium you’ll need to pay.
If it’s too much, there’s always the option of a road trip; hiring a car is also cost compared on the application as well, so you can always shave some of the cost by renting with mates.
While hotels are included too with the app, there are sadly no package deals, meaning you’ll end up paying through the nose to purchase both separately.
But on the plus side, you can track your itinerary, see when flights are coming in and even check the yearly trends to see how much tickets cost on average at certain times – although those prices will go out the window during the World Cup.
