Twittering for the BlackBerry finally gets an official overhaul to offer up all the basic functions on your BB
The official BlackBerry Twitter application does exactly what you want it to do – tweet, see your replies and direct messages, and view a comprehensive list of tweets from those you follow.
But for a little Brucey bonus, you get pretty much all the functionality of the ‘proper’ Twitter webpage too, namely searching, push notifications and trending topics.
This means that you can quickly find new people from the application and search for new topics within the Twittersphere (yes, we hate ourselves for using that terminology too).
There’s a link to the camera – append photos or pre-taken snaps to Tweets with ease, and you can also see when a new message comes in even if you’re not in the app itself.
It is a bit of a memory-sucker, and it’s slow to activate as there’s such a huge stream of information coming down, but as official applications go, it’s a doozie.
