Log in and create places based around people, locations, photos and more
GyPsii Review
by on April 20, 2010
As you can probably tell these days, location-based social networking is growing in popularity – GyPSii is one of the older ones and it’s yet to gain much acceptance in the UK.
Basically this application works by letting you enter data about a place you’re in, with a photo, text, video or other data.
You can make friends with people also on GyPSii, as well as see places their friends are looking at and creating too.
We sadly couldn’t get this application to work on our BlackBerry Bold 9700, with it hanging at the log in screen with no reason for the block.
However, on other devices the interface is pretty slick, with the mapping overlay particularly easy to use.
It’s a nice way to see where friends are as well, although we think there are better applications out there to help you see the same thing.
The hanging log in screen, the low res graphics and the fact that this service has been around in the UK for years without gaining a huge amount of popularity means we’re not fussed about this application, especially with the likes of foursquare around.
