Buzzd is meant to do one thing: tell you what’s ‘happening’ around you at the moment.
To hat end, it achieves this by looking through social networks like Twitter, FourSquare, Yelp and more to work out what’s ‘hot’ at the moment.
Are people talking about the local pub for some reason? It’ll be rising quickly up the Buzzdmeter and you can check it out as one of the cool kids.
You either set your location or use GPS to work out where you are, making it easy to see what’s going on or planning a trip ahead.
However, there’s a slight problem in that it seems large portions of the country aren’t buzzable about at all – even on the outskirts of big cities.
Sure, if you’re Oxford Circus, there will be a few options to check out – although most of these aren’t really that close.
So while it’s insanely cool the app can read and search all these social networks to find places (although The Loft came up with some funny options) it’s only relevant in small instances for the UK.
