Another app from a heavyweight news source designed to keep your BlackBerry up to date at all times
Thomson Reuters has been a chief provider of news for a number of years and the BlackBerry app certainly reflects that.
I tgives users the option to choose which news they want to receive across a broad range of subjects. The topics are also comprehensive and can also be shared via the likes of Twitter or even saved to look at at a later date.
Scrolling through is easy too, with the font nice and easy to read. However, one big problem is that when you want to read a news story, you have to download it fully to the phone, with only a snippet paragraph on offer to tease you in.
This download usually takes a while too, meaning that if you simply want to scan through the news and see what’s happening in the world it’s going to be a difficult task.
But you can also add in your own stock portfolios and RSS feeds from things like the weather (or anything you fancy putting on there), although the need to download stories remains annoying.
