Bubble Burst Free
If you get weepy about burst bubbles, best steer clear
Bubble Burst Free Review
by on November 5, 2010
We’re all for casual gaming here, and to that end the old favourites are important.
Bubble Burst, where grouping together lots of like-coloured balls is the aim, is a great idea, and one that’s been ported to nearly every portable platform.
On the BlackBerry, this free version is equally excellent in its simplicity.
There are four game modes to mess around with, offering up the chance to play ‘normally’, in ’shift mode’ (where the bubbles move to the left as the columns disappear) ‘continuous’ (more bubbles appear until you lose) or the delightfully-named ‘Mega Shift’ (where it’s a combination of all the above).
The free version of the game is ad-funded, and while it’s a little simple the ads are very much in the background, not interfering with game play.
It’s not a game high on sharing your score around the world (not that we mind) but it is a great way to spend some time when you find yourself with idle thumbs.
