If you’re into the latest movies, it’s always handy to have an application that’s got the inside scoop on what’s coming up

Movies is an application that doesn’t try to do anything fancy – it works with the Flixster database to show you the latest releases on the market.
You’re presented with a number of options at the start, asking whether you want to sort your movie experience into theatre, film or upcoming releases.
You’re then presented with a list of films, with the trailer on offer if it’s in the database – being able to watch in high and low quality helps when you’re out and about and struggling for a 3G signal.
All the relevant information is there – showtimes, cinema location with map, telephone number, so there’s been some thought put into this application.
However, it’s slow to run, takes a while to set up and isn’t comprehensive enough in our opinion to beat Poynt, which offers all the above but quicker and with some cool advanced features.
