Turn your BlackBerry into an old school PC with this range of screensavers
Animated Screensavers Review
by on April 22, 2010
The BlackBerry range is already as powerful and useful as a number of PCs from the 1990’s. This application furthers that connection.
The app offers 10 screensavers that start up when your phone is left unattended, there’s not a lot of point to the app other than a bit of amusement here and there.
That’s not a negative thing – watching bubbles come floating across the screen or suddenly spinning through space is a cool thing to have around.
And we particularly like the Blue Screen of Death rip off – it scared the bejesus out of us the first time it happened and makes us chuckle every time we see it now.
The Animated Screensavers app does seem to be a bit of a battery sucker though, as we noticed the counter draining a lot faster than usual.
Plus you have to wonder how useful this really is given that your phone’s backlight turns off whenever you leave it unattended.
But as free apps go, this is one of the more fun ones to play with.
