Have a text chat with your mates using this simple application
The official description of the Ditto application says this is like having a three way for SMS – we can’t work out what that means but it sounds fun nonetheless.
Basically, using the application you can easily send text messages to groups of friends, who can in turn reply to the whole group (much in the same way as ‘reply to all’ feature available on emails but not possible on text messages.
You have to let people know they’re part of the group via an automated email, but there are a number of ways to block people seeing who’s in the group and being messaged to help contain privacy.
It’s a novel way of doing something like organising a night out or a sports team, meaning everyone can see the updates plans as they go along.
The interface is simple too – it takes a while to work out what’s really on offer with the app when you first start it up (options to ‘Listen’ and ‘Speak’ sound a bit ominous) but overall it’s a nice way to sort things our with your mates over text.
