Get to grips with complex chords on your guitar. With video demonstrations and chord playback, it's the perfect way to learn some of those more obscure chords.

It’s pretty well known that the Beatles managed to make a mint out of a mere three chords on the guitar. This is a fairly obvious misconception but it does prove how important chords can be to making a hit song.
Fretter won’t make you a songwriter like John Lennon, but it will help you with understanding a bit more about the myriad chords that are on offer for the guitar.
That’s because Fretter is an advanced chord-finding database. It utilises an algorithm that will offer up chords that you can actually play – rather than showing you every chord that is plausible on the guitar.
It’s pretty full-on, in that you can choose the tuning, ask fro an advanced or easy chord and if you think you have created your very own chord (you haven’t) then it will show you what the name of that chord is.
The best thing about the app is that you can hear every chord player as they are meant to sound. This gives those with a lesser ear for music some help in figuring out if what they are strumming is right.
At just under £2, Fretter offers a decent amount of functionality in one tiny 124KB app. Guitarists should seriously consider.
