Enjoy World Cup Review
by on March 13, 2010
A little know sporting event called the World Cup is about to take over the planet in June 2010.
June isn’t that far off, but if like us you’re desperate to make it come quicker then the Enjoy World Cup app will help.
The app celebrates all things football, offering up a timetable of when the matches will take place, information on the teams and even a forum where you can talk to other like-minded (and not so like-minded) football fans about the upcoming festival of footie.
Sadly, unlike Capello’s tactical brain, the app isn’t perfect. There isn’t much in the way of information for individual players – even though there is a tab for this. We’re hoping that these trivia nuggets are ‘coming soon’.
What you do get is a stat about a ‘choice player’ for each team in the tournament and also a little bit of blurb about each manager. For instance, Capello was born 18 June, 1946 apparently – right in the midst of World War II. Perfect pub fodder for looking like a football genius in front of your mates.
If the app gets populated with more info soon, it could well become the go-to application of the glorious summer of soccer.

The iOS equivalent of a plain cheese sandwich: does the job, but it won't linger in the memory afterwards.

pxl.
The interface feels a bit out of place on iOS, but it’s a fun app, and produces interesting results.
Puzzlejuice
Absurdly challenging, sometimes brutal, but frequently brilliant (especially on the iPad); just be aware of what you’re letting yourself in for. (Sob.)
