This app provides everything you need to know before heading down to the beach with your board.
As any serious surfer will tell you, it’s no good trekking all the way down to the beach with your big-wave board if your arrival coincides with the flattest day of the year.
This spoiler can be quickly avoided with the Magic Seaweed Surf Forecast that, like the excellent website which it has nothing to do with, provides everything you could want to know about tides, swell height, wind and weather, alongside sea and air temperatures.
Accuracy can at times be mixed and it would be nice if GPS info was provided and you could save locations, but for a free app it does a pretty decent job of giving you what you need. It’s a shame there’s not a pro version without the infuriating adverts.
