Taking feeds from the Associated Press, Express News brings you all the top stories in real time.
There are a number of news apps on Android Market but they are only as good as the feeds that power them. As the Associated Press is one of the most respected of them all, Express News brings nothing but quality news.
There are a number of categories to choose from – Top Stories and UK News being our pick of the bunch. For some reason, our app kept defaulting to the Politics feed which was annoying but you can soon change it by flicking to the drop-down menu.
There was some lag when changing between feeds but this can be fixed by switching off the pictures. We wouldn’t recommend this, however, as the Express News interface is one of the nicest we have seen on a news app. It looks slick and the images seem to be of the highest quality, especially when you drill into the main story and not just read the headlines.
We could do with a few more stories in the feed before you have to select More News, but these are minor problems with what is a great app to use.
