Guide your planes to safety with a few flicks of the finger
Air Controller Review
by on September 23, 2010
The job of an air traffic controller must be a pretty stressful one. While a mistake at work for most of us means that we have printed out a letter on the wrong side of headed paper (don’t you hate that when it happens) one wrong wave and an air traffic chap could have a full-blown aviation disaster on his hands.
Lucky then, there is Android app which simulates what it’s like to guide planes to safety, without actually hurting anyone – apart from the occasional self-inflicted RSI.
Air Controller is a simple looking game which uses the touch controls of your phone to guide planes in for landing.
Flick your finger across a plane and it will change direction and you have to keep this up until the plane has landed safely. Unfortunately, there’s more than one plane to contend with and this is where the job of air traffic controller gets that little bit more complicated.
Although the controls aren’t the best we have experience, they don’t impinge on the gameplay. If we did have one niggle, though, it’s that the difficulty level on the game is rather high. We crashed enough planes in our first level that it’s put us off flying for life.
