Scott Pilgrim Review
by on June 10, 2011
With the hit movie still fresh in our minds, the Scott Pilgrim comic allows us to see the genius source material of a refreshing and critically acclaimed comic book series.
With a guitar riff playing over the opening panel following an ‘extreme loading action’ message, it is clear that this digital version is cut from the same cloth as the original comic, which is fun and warm (and black and white).
The user interface is the familiar panel view with hotspots to go forward and back and scrolling for the bigger panels.
If you haven’t ever read Scott Pilgrim’s adventures – especially if you enjoyed the movie – then this is well worth a look, although there are some reservations about the pricing.
Indeed, at a penny less than £3.50 you might well be asking yourself if there are alternative comics that are a little more wallet friendly, although you would be missing out on a damn fine series.
