Keep up with all of Scott Meyer's Basic Instructions comics.
Basic Instructions Review
by on July 8, 2011
Ever felt like receiving some basic life tips but don’t fancy listening to any of those self-righteous day-time talk show hosts, or David Cameron, then you might want to try some enlightenment In the form of an irreverent comic strip turned Android app.
Basic Instructions has been a big hit on the web. Littered with sarcasm and insults to his fellow man, the author Scott Mayer answers questions like “How to rise to the challenge,” “How to pick a baby name” in a unique, and frankly awesome manner.
The short-and-sweet, black and white comic strips are cutely drawn and will more often than not leave you with a wide smile, if you’re into a dude being smug and insulting to his misguided fellow man. It certainly beats Charlie Brown and Garfield on a Sunday morning.
The full version of the app features all 400 Basic Instructions comics and at just 626k, it’ll barely scratch the surface of your Android handset’s memory.
Mayer actually began putting the strips on his site to entertain folks who might be looking to hire him as a stand-up comic and have now become larger than life, spawning an excellent Android app that’s well worth the £1.20.
Compatible with: Android 1.5 and above.
