Spice up your life with this app that tells you what to do every day
While most of us like to think that our lives are the mutt’s nuts, most of the time when you break down the 9-5 machinations of life most days we tread a fairly mundane path.
An Exciting Year tries to change all that – offering a modicum of excitement by giving you a task to do every single day. Now, the tasks are randomly selected and can be catered for men (single and partnered) and women (the same). Once it has this info, you are away on your magical mystery tour.
While this app certainly entices, it isn’t really going to change your life. We were asked one day to use a whole bottle of shower gel. The next day, we had to call everyone by their surnames and by day three we were asked to yell at a stranger.
This is where we stopped. We had three-day-old shower gel still caked all over our body and when asked why we were acting so strange we had to say that our phone told us to do it.
Couple this with the fact that there is no actual reward (or punishment) for your tasks, this app goes from being an ‘exciting year’ to a three-day trip to the loony bin.
