One of the most successful apps on iOS has finally made its way to Android and it will either drive you mental or become your favourite ever app. Now, for those who don’t like autotune look away now – this app is all about autotune, embracing the technology as much as Kanye West on 808s and Heartbreaks and the dude on Double Rainbow.
And this is where you start with the app – singing into it, then it autotunes your voice to the sound of double Rainbow. And this is all you need to do with Songify – sing whatever you want into it and the app will bend your vocal chords to fit a backing track. If you want more familiar backing tracks, then you will have to pay with coins. You can earn these throughout the app but it’s really all about in-app purchases to get the backing tracks that you want.
This is one of the simplest apps you will ever use and we’re guessing this is why it is so successful – any child can press the middle button and sing into a phone.
Because it is so simple, though, you will soon tire of Songify – unless you are willing to splash the cash.
