Look up to the sky – Is it a bird? A plane? Nope it’s Google’s Sky Map
Google Sky Map Review

Google isn’t just about mapping the world with its StreetView service but the skies too. This app lets you learn about the stars in the sky without actually picking up a book or looking through a telescope.
For it to work, all you need to do is find a clear outside location, then take your Android phone and point it into the air like you just don’t care.
The app works extremely well. It brings up star and constellation information in real-time, much like an augmented reality app.
You don’t get much more info than what the stars are called but it is impressive nonetheless. If you think you are getting too many stars and planets coming up, then you can toggle which layers you want to see. There is also a night mode, which turns everything red, so you can see it easier in the dark.
It’s more gimmick than anything else but if you are on a date and are staring at the sky instead of into each others eyes, the app will definitely impress.
