Turn yourself into a little green robot
by on April 13, 2011
Sometimes you come across an app that doesn’t actually have any real significance, but it is a whole heap of fun to use. Androidify is one of those apps.
There’s no denying that the Android robot is a great marketing ploy by Google. It’s increasingly becoming a recognisable mascot for the company. Hell, the Android pin badges at Mobile World Congress 2011 got more column inches that most of the non-Android handsets on show.
With Androidify, you are given the tools to create your very own Android robot which you can personalise any way you like – then share it among the myriad social networks that you spend far too much time on.
To create your robot is as simple as it gets. Immediately you are presented with a ‘vanilla’ robot to dress. Click on the coat hanger tool and you can add a hairstyle to the robot. Once done, you can add clothes, shoes and even given the robot a pipe to smoke and a parrot for his shoulder.
Once you are happy with your Android, then you can send it off to the likes of Twitter, or through text and Gmail.
Androidify is all about creating an Android community and is a great app for kids who are now using an Android handset.
