VoIP client which offers free calls and cheaper international charges for your mobile.

You always have to be a bit dubious when something is offering you next-to-nothing calls to anywhere in the world, but Vopium does just that and it delivers.
This free app allows you to make a call abroad at a cheaper rate, due to the fact that it is actually routing the call via the web, brining VoIP to your Android device.
For example, you can phone Vietnam for just 7p a minute using Vopium and it will cost you the same to send an SMS.
As you would expect, though, you can use the service through your WiFi connection and the call will be absolutely free.
Unfortunately the app doesn’t give you this information – you have to go on the web to source it.
It does offer 15 minutes’ free call-time, though, and also 15 text messages once you sign up.
The service lives in you phone’s contacts. To use it, flip open a contact and you will be asked if you want to call through Vopium.
To top up money you do this through setting up a Vopium account, adding your card details and away you go.
Apart from having to Force Close a number of times and the occasional freeze, Vopium worked well and is definitely a rival to the likes of Google iCall.
